Companies to Contact

Sometimes, if you contact companies they will send you coupons in the mail!

Here are my rules that I live by:
1.  I will never contact a company of a product I do not use.
2.  I don't lie when writing to them.
3.  I never ask for coupons.  I tell them how good their product is and ways it has helped me.

Below you will find some of the companies I have contacted and received responses from! (This list will be updated as I get more responses)

Aleve
Bounce
Bush's (never received an email or anything, coupons just showed up in the mail!)

Free sample of Arm and Hammer toothpaste!

I tried to just post the link on facebook but it takes you to the wrong place.  Copy and paste this into your browser:

http://ahtoothpastechallenge.com/

Be sure to copy it and not click on the link.  If you click, it takes you to their homepage instead of the direct sample site.  You will also have to confirm an email to get your sample shipped.

How I got this for $27.89 to my house.. the next day!

Yes.  I got a 160 count of Pampers diapers shipped to my house the next day for $27.89.  How you ask? Swagbucks.  Plain and simple.  I was able to rack up $20.00 in gift cards to Amazon.com. Don't believe me?

So now I'm guessing you want to know what Swagbucks is am I right? Well, you take surveys, do polls, do Internet searches, etc and receive points known as "swagbucks".  You can redeem these points for many different prizes.  My favorite of which is gift cards.  It costs 450 SB to get a $5 Amazon.com gift card.  This can easily be done in a week.

Next question I'm guessing you have is how? Well there are certain things you should do everyday.  Daily polls, NOSO, trusted surveys, and Internet searches.

Daily poll: You go to the Swagbucks homepage, click on earn in the top bar, scroll down to Daily Poll.  Answer the Question for a quick and easy 1 SB.

NOSO: No obligation offers. You get to it the same as above except you scroll down until you see NOSO.  Just skip through the offers (unless you're interested in one).  At the end, it will give you a code to enter.  That will be worth 2 SB.

Trusted Surveys:  You get it to the same as above except you scroll down to the bottom where you see "trusted surveys".  You can do as many that are available.  If you don't qualify, you get 1SB (up to a total of 5 SB a day for not qualifying for a survey).  If you do qualify for a survey, the points you receive vary.  The most I've gotten was 250 SB for one 20 minute survey!

Internet Searches: You can search the Internet from the Swagbucks homepage (or download the toolbar.  The toolbar will also give you an extra 1 SB a day).  Just randomly search for things.  These also vary from around 7 to about 50.  On Fridays you get extra!

Swagbucks TV is also a great way to earn.  I usually have it running in the background while doing other things.  Every 10 videos gives you 3 points and you can earn up to 150 points a day!

If you're interested in Swagbucks, you can sign up here.

Football 101

It's that time of the year.  I'm a HUGE football fan (Go Saints! LSU Tigers! UL Cajuns!!).  So I thought maybe I'd post a couple of question and answers for people who are well let's face it.. know only that the ball is thrown back and forth and the boys in the uniforms have nice butts.

What is all this 'downs' business?
Each team has 4 tries to move 10 yards.  If you're watching on TV, usually they will have a line on the field where the ball currently is and where the 10 yard mark is. If you're at a live game, look for the dudes in bright orange with big orange sticks.

So you mean that bright line saying where the 10 yard mark isn't actually on the field?
Nope, just graphics.

What in the world is the red zone I see no red!
It's 20 yards before the goal.  This is usually where most scoring takes place. This is the time when the offense of one team and the defense of the opposing team really need to step up their game.

How many players of each team are on the field at a time?
11 each

Who are on the "special teams"?
Special teams consist of anyone who is involved in kicking the ball: kicker, punt/kick returner (person who runs the ball back after it is kicked), holder, etc.

How do you score?
touchdown = 6
after scoring a touchdown, there are two options.  Either kick it through the goal posts (1pt) or running it into the end zone again (2pts)
field goal = 3
if a team is close enough to the end zone, but just can't score, most of the time they will kick a field goal if they're on 4th down (their 4th attempt to go those 10 yards.. and they know they're not going to make it)
touch back = 2
tackling an opponent in their own end zone

Is it OK for me to just cheer for the team with the best looking uniforms or the teams with the best butts?
Absolutely.

I'll be adding to this page often, so check back soon!

My Walmart shopping adventure this week.

When I did my weekly grocery shopping this week, there were some pretty cool things I noticed at Walmart. First off, those black and white one subject compositions were clearanced to .40 each! I picked up 5.  My daughter absolutely loves to write so that should last us a good long time.  Also, they had calculators marked down 50% off to $2.00.  PERFECT for carrying in a purse.  Not too big and not too small. Be sure to check out walmart for their clearance back to school items.  They're trying to make way for Halloween items so all that stuff has to go!

They are also changing out the season as far as their clothes.  I always hit up the little kids clothes when this happens. Because frankly, we live in south Louisiana, you can wear short sleeves all year round usually.  I also stock up on larger sizes for the upcoming summer and any birthdays I know that are coming soon!

At my walmart, they are still not carrying the Purina Pro Plan dog/cat food that had recent coupons on coupons.com.  But they too are redoing their area so I'm hopeing *fingers crossed* a lot of things will be going on sale soon.

I also found the Gerber snacks that are on coupons.com on sale! $1.98 each for the Puffs (or Poofs if you live in my house).  Use a $1.00 off 2 coupon.. brings it down to $1.48.  Not a bad price!

I'm a former employee of Walmart.  I worked as a Cashier, CSM, Cash Office Associate and Department Manager.  I have an idea of how things over there work. This is the time of the year to stock up if you like going ot walmart!
